This is an annual Eastvalley priority event requiring a multitude of volunteers for planning and executing the festivities.
#NATIONAL PTA ONLINE TOOLKIT UPDATE#
Volunteers research books to be included in EVRC, organize assemblies, distribute awards, update reading points bulletin board. It provides recognition and rewards for student achievement. Eastvalley Reading Club (EVRC) EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT EVRC is a reading incentive program based on Accelerated Reader achievements.Requires committee to pre-plan and execute the event. Eastvalley Math Night: Organize an engaging night of Math fun, including grade-specific scavenger hunt, held at the Kroger East Lake store in March.Early Bird Readers: Early morning targeted reading program.Directory: Volunteers collect all directory information on the students at the beginning of the year, coordinate the information, work with the publisher and distribute to the students.Calendar: Collect all EV PTA/Foundation & school event information for the year and post to a Google calendar accessible to all parents.Budget: This committee, chaired by the EV PTA Treasurer, reviews requests and prior funding for committees in compiling annual proposed budget for PTA activities.Collect box tops from General Mills’ products! Box Tops: FUNDRAISING –General Mills donate a portion of your purchase to Eastvalley PTA.Blog: Volunteers post important information as well as fun photos from class, extracurricular, and PTA activities to the PTA blog.Every class needs an Art print coordinator.

Monthly, a parent volunteer gathers the Art print lesson from the PTA room and teaches this lesson to the class. Art Appreciation / Art Print introduces students to the visual arts.Event-specific newsletters (weekly leading up to event, e.g.Membership Database News (as needed) – sent to Admins.Council Connection (monthly) – sent to council leaders.Membership Made Easy (monthly) – sent to membership identified positions.Focus on Advocacy (weekly during legislative session) – sent to advocacy identified positions and those registered for the Action Network.Membership News (quarterly) – sent to all members.Leadership News (weekly) – specifically for PTA leaders.WSPTA also recommends that leaders share the information with fellow board members, general members, and the school community as appropriate. Especially if you are using a position-specific email for your PTA, unsubscribing means that future leaders holding that position will not receive important information to help them in their duties. Members receive a username and password to access the Member Discount Codes page in the welcome email, with their membership card attached, emailed to each paid member. This username and password is for leaders only. PTA leaders are provided a username and password to access these pages.
