It really is a shame that despite how many things they’ve done a great job updating and adding features to, the LCXL is bare bones, has been ignored to the point where it might as well have been discontinued years ago now, and regarding the hardware, it has SO MUCH POTENTIAL. But also, when using the LCXL on iOS, if you need to change a mapping you can load, edit, and send templates on the fly without having to disconnect and go to a desktop, assuming you had one old enough that it could even run Novations software.
Without this app allowing me to program it from iOS, my LCXL would be crippled to whatever 8 templates I currently had on it.

The biggest use case for me was that Novation’s Mac Editor is 100% won’t even launch broken. Another 128 readily available to access in MS-C, and the ability to save more to disk.
There are a boat load of slots, 128, and you can select any of those and tap send to update the LCXL with that preset.
